To dwell in the clifts of the valleys, [in] caves of the earth, and [in] the rocks.

Strong's References
- H2738 — חָרוּל (chârûwl, khaw-rool'): or (shortened) חָרֻל; apparently, a passive participle of an unused root probably meaning to be prickly; properly, pointed, i.e. a bramble or other thorny weed; nettle.
- H5101 — נָהַק (nâhaq, naw-hak'): a primitive root; to bray (as an ass), scream (from hunger); bray.
- H5596 — סָפַח (çâphach, saw-fakh'): or שָׂפַח; (Isaiah 3:17), a primitive root; properly, to scrape out, but in certain peculiar senses (of removal or association); abiding, gather together, cleave, smite with the scab.
- H7880 — שִׂיחַ (sîyach, see'-akh): from שִׂיחַ; a shoot (as if uttered or put forth), i.e. (generally) shrubbery; bush, plant, shrub.
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- H996 — בֵּין (bêyn, bane): (sometimes in the plural masculine or feminine); properly, the constructive form of an otherwise unused noun from בִּין; a distinction; but used only as a preposition,; between (repeated before each noun, often with other particles); also as a conjunction, either...or; among, asunder, at, between (-twixt...and), [phrase] from (the widest), [idiom] in, out of, whether (it be...or), within.
- H8478 — תַּחַת (tachath, takh'-ath): from the same as תּוֹחַ; the bottom (as depressed); only adverbially, below (often with prepositional prefix underneath), in lieu of, etc.; as, beneath, [idiom] flat, in(-stead), (same) place (where...is), room, for...sake, stead of, under, [idiom] unto, [idiom] when...was mine, whereas, (where-) fore, with.
