Then Paul called one of the centurions unto [him], and said, Bring this young man unto the chief captain: for he hath a certain thing to tell him.

So he took him, and brought [him] to the chief captain, and said, Paul the prisoner called me unto [him], and prayed me to bring this young man unto thee, who hath something to say unto thee.

Then the chief captain took him by the hand, and went [with him] aside privately, and asked [him], What is that thou hast to tell me?

ὁ μὲν οὖν παραλαβὼν αὐτὸν ἤγαγε πρὸς τὸν χιλίαρχον, καί φησιν, Ὁ δέσμιος Παῦλος προσκαλεσάμενός με ἠρώτησε τοῦτον τὸν νεανίαν ἀγαγεῖν πρός σε, ἔχοντά τι λαλῆσαί σοι.

- G71 — ἄγω (ágō, ag'-o): I lead — a primary verb; properly, to lead; by implication, to bring, drive, (reflexively) go, (specially) pass (time), or (figuratively) induce:--be, bring (forth), carry, (let) go, keep, lead away, be open.

- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
- G2980 — λαλέω (laléō, lal-eh'-o): I speak, say — a prolonged form of an otherwise obsolete verb; to talk, i.e. utter words:--preach, say, speak (after), talk, tell, utter. Compare λέγω.
- G3165 — μέ (mé, meh): a shorter (and probably original) form of ἐμέ; me:--I, me, my.
- G3303 — μέν (mén, men): truly, indeed — a primary particle; properly, indicative of affirmation or concession (in fact); usually followed by a contrasted clause with δέ (this one, the former, etc.):--even, indeed, so, some, truly, verily. Often compounded with other particles in an intensive or asseverative sense.
- G3494 — νεανίας (neanías, neh-an-ee'-as): a young man, youth — from a derivative of νέος; a youth (up to about forty years):--young man.

- G4571 — σέ (sé, seh): accusative case singular of σύ; thee:--thee, thou, X thy house.
- G4671 — σοί (soí, soy): dative case of σύ; to thee:--thee, thine own, thou, thy.
- G5100 — τὶς (tìs, tis): any one, some one — an enclitic indefinite pronoun; some or any person or object:--a (kind of), any (man, thing, thing at all), certain (thing), divers, he (every) man, one (X thing), ought, + partly, some (man, -body, - thing, -what), (+ that no-)thing, what(-soever), X wherewith, whom(-soever), whose(-soever).
- G5126 — τοῦτον (toûton, too'-ton): accusative case singular masculine of οὗτος; this (person, as objective of verb or preposition):--him, the same, that, this.
- G5346 — φημί (phēmí, fay-mee'): I say — properly, the same as the base of φῶς and φαίνω; to show or make known one's thoughts, i.e. speak or say:--affirm, say. Compare λέγω.
- G5506 — χιλίαρχος (chilíarchos, khil-ee'-ar-khos): a military tribune — from χίλιοι and ἄρχω; the commander of a thousand soldiers ("chiliarch"; i.e. colonel:--(chief, high) captain.
