Psalms 144:9

Psalms 144:8 Psalms 144:9 (KJV) Psalms 144:10
Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand [is] a right hand of falsehood.
I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
[It is he] that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.

Strong's References
  • H430 — אֱלֹהִים (ʼĕlôhîym, el-o-heem'): plural of אֱלוֹהַּ; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative; angels, [idiom] exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), [idiom] (very) great, judges, [idiom] mighty.
  • H2167 — זָמַר (zâmar, zaw-mar'): a primitive root (perhaps identical with זָמַר through the idea of striking with the fingers); properly, to touch the strings or parts of a musical instrument, i.e.; play upon it; to make music, accompanied by the voice; hence to celebrate in song and music; give praise, sing forth praises, psalms.
  • H2319 — חָדָשׁ (châdâsh, khaw-dawsh'): from חָדַשׁ; new; fresh, new thing.
  • H5035 — נֶבֶל (nebel, neh'-bel): or נֵבֶל; from נָבֵל; a skin-bag for liquids (from collapsing when empty); hence, a vase (as similar in shape when full); also a lyre (as having a body of like form); bottle, pitcher, psaltery, vessel, viol.
  • H6218 — עָשׂוֹר (ʻâsôwr, aw-sore'): or עָשֹׂר; from עֶשֶׂר; ten; by abbreviated form ten strings, and so a decachord; (instrument of) ten (strings, -th).
  • H7891 — שִׁיר (shîyr, sheer): or (the original form) שׁוּר; (1 Samuel 18:6), a primitive root (rather identical with שׁוּר through the idea of strolling minstrelsy); to sing; behold (by mistake for שׁוּר), sing(-er, -ing man, -ing woman).
  • H7892 — שִׁיר (shîyr, sheer): or feminine שִׁירָה; from שִׁיר; a song; abstractly, singing; musical(-ick), [idiom] sing(-er, -ing), song.
