Galatians 3:4
| ← Galatians 3:3 | Galatians 3:4 (KJV) | Galatians 3:5 → |
|---|---|---|
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
|
Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if [it be] yet in vain.
|
He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, [doeth he it] by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Strong's References
- G1489 — εἴγε (eíge, i'-gheh): if indeed, seeing that, unless — from εἰ and γέ; if indeed, seeing that, unless, (with negative) otherwise:--if (so be that, yet).
- G1500 — εἰκῆ (eikē, i-kay'): without purpose, in vain — probably from εἴκω (through the idea of failure); idly, i.e. without reason (or effect):--without a cause, (in) vain(-ly).
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
- G3958 — πάσχω (páschō, pas'-kho): I am acted upon, suffer — apparently a primary verb; to experience a sensation or impression (usually painful):--feel, passion, suffer, vex.
- G5118 — τοσοῦτος (tosoûtos, tos-oo'-tos): so great — from (so much; apparently from ὁ and ὅς) and οὗτος (including its variations); so vast as this, i.e. such (in quantity, amount, number of space):--as large, so great (long, many, much), these many.
The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:
- G1065 — γέ (gé, gheh): at least, indeed, really — a primary particle of emphasis or qualification (often used with other particles prefixed):--and besides, doubtless, at least, yet.
- G1487 — εἰ (ei, i): if — a primary particle of conditionality; if, whether, that, etc.:--forasmuch as, if, that, (al-)though, whether. Often used in connection or composition with other particles, especially as in εἴγε, εἰ δὲ μή(γε), εἰ καί, εἰ μή, εἰ μή τι, εἴ περ, εἴ πως, εἴ τις, ἐκ. See also ἐάν.
