(Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.
And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,
Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

  • G1893 — ἐπεί (epeí, ep-i'): after, for, since, otherwise — from ἐπί and εἰ; thereupon, i.e. since (of time or cause):--because, else, for that (then, -asmuch as), otherwise, seeing that, since, when.
  • G2076 — ἐστί (estí, es-tee'): third person singular present indicative of εἰμί; he (she or it) is; also (with neuter plural) they are:--are, be(-long), call, X can(-not), come, consisteth, X dure for a while, + follow, X have, (that) is (to say), make, meaneth, X must needs, + profit, + remaineth, + wrestle.
  • G2235 — ἤδη (ḗdē, ay'-day): now, already — apparently from ἤ (or possibly ἦ) and δή; even now:--already, (even) now (already), by this time.
  • G2258 — ἦν (ēn, ane): imperfect of εἰμί; I (thou, etc.) was (wast or were):--+ agree, be, X have (+ charge of), hold, use, was(-t), were.
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
  • G3603 — ὅ ἐστι (hó esti, ho es-tee'): from the neuter of ὅς and the third person singular present indicative of εἰμί; which is:--called, which is (make), that is (to say).
  • G3798 — ὄψιος (ópsios, op'-see-os): late — from ὀψέ; late; feminine (as noun) afternoon (early eve) or nightfall (later eve):--even(-ing, (-tide)).
  • G3904 — παρασκευή (paraskeuḗ, par-ask-yoo-ay'): the day before the Sabbath — as if from παρασκευάζω; readiness:--preparation.
  • G4315 — προσάββατον (prosábbaton, pros-ab'-bat-on): the day before the Sabbath — from πρό and σάββατον; a fore-sabbath, i.e. the Sabbath-eve:--day before the sabbath. Compare παρασκευή.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3739 — ὅς (hós, hos): who, which, what, that — probably a primary word (or perhaps a form of the article ὁ); the relatively (sometimes demonstrative) pronoun, who, which, what, that:--one, (an-, the) other, some, that, what, which, who(-m, -se), etc. See also οὗ.
