Matthew 17:3

Matthew 17:2 Matthew 17:3 (KJV) Matthew 17:4
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Strong's References
  • G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): he, she, it, they, them, same — from the particle (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ.
  • G2243 — Ἡλίας (Hēlías, hay-lee'-as): Elijah — of Hebrew origin (אֵלִיָּה); Helias (i.e. Elijah), an Israelite:--Elias.
  • G2400 — ἰδού (idoú, id-oo'): See! Lo! Behold! Look! — second person singular imperative middle voice of εἴδω; used as imperative lo!; --behold, lo, see.
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
  • G3326 — μετά (metá, met-ah'): with, after — a primary preposition (often used adverbially); properly, denoting accompaniment; "amid" (local or causal); modified variously according to the case (genitive association, or accusative succession) with which it is joined; occupying an intermediate position between ἀπό or ἐκ and εἰς or πρός; less intimate than ἐν and less close than σύν):--after(-ward), X that he again, against, among, X and, + follow, hence, hereafter, in, of, (up-)on, + our, X and setting, since, (un-)to, + together, when, with (+ -out). Often used in composition, in substantially the same relations of participation or proximity, and transfer or sequence.
  • G3475 — Μωσεύς (Mōseús, moce-yoos'): Moses — of Hebrew origin; (מֹשֶׁה); Moseus, Moses, or Mouses (i.e. Mosheh), the Hebrew lawgiver:--Moses.
  • G3700 — ὀπτάνομαι (optánomai, op-tan'-om-ahee): I appear, am seen — a (middle voice) prolonged form of the primary (middle voice)  ; which is used for it in certain tenses; and both as alternate of ὁράω; to gaze (i.e. with wide-open eyes, as at something remarkable; and thus differing from βλέπω, which denotes simply voluntary observation; and from εἴδω, which expresses merely mechanical, passive or casual vision; while θεάομαι, and still more emphatically its intensive θεωρέω, signifies an earnest but more continued inspection; and σκοπέω a watching from a distance):--appear, look, see, shew self.
  • G4814 — συλλαλέω (syllaléō, sool-lal-eh'-o): I talk with — from σύν and λαλέω; to talk together, i.e. converse:--commune (confer, talk) with, speak among.
