Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

- G770 — ἀσθενέω (asthenéō, as-then-eh'-o): I am weak, sick — from ἀσθενής; to be feeble (in any sense):--be diseased, impotent folk (man), (be) sick, (be, be made) weak.
- G1438 — ἑαυτοῦ (heautoû, heh-ow-too'): himself, herself, itself — from a reflexive pronoun otherwise obsolete and the genitive case (dative case or accusative case) of αὐτός; him- (her-, it-, them-, also (in conjunction with the personal pronoun of the other persons) my-, thy-, our-, your-) self (selves), etc.:--alone, her (own, -self), (he) himself, his (own), itself, one (to) another, our (thine) own(-selves), + that she had, their (own, own selves), (of) them(-selves), they, thyself, you, your (own, own conceits, own selves, -selves).
- G1541 — ἑκατονταέτης (hekatontaétēs, hek-at-on-tah-et'-ace): a hundred years old — from ἑκατόν and ἔτος; centenarian:--hundred years old.
- G2235 — ἤδη (ḗdē, ay'-day): now, already — apparently from ἤ (or possibly ἦ) and δή; even now:--already, (even) now (already), by this time.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
- G2657 — κατανοέω (katanoéō, kat-an-o-eh'-o): I understand, perceive, consider — from κατά and νοιέω; to observe fully:--behold, consider, discover, perceive.
- G3361 — μή (mḗ, may): not, lest — a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas οὐ expresses an absolute denial); (adverb) not, (conjunction) lest; also (as an interrogative implying a negative answer (whereas οὐ expects an affirmative one)) whether:--any but (that), X forbear, + God forbid, + lack, lest, neither, never, no (X wise in), none, nor, (can-)not, nothing, that not, un(-taken), without. - G3388 — μήτρα (mḗtra, may'-trah): the womb — from μήτηρ; the matrix:--womb.
- G3499 — νεκρόω (nekróō, nek-ro'-o): I put to death, render weak — from νεκρός; to deaden, i.e. (figuratively) to subdue:--be dead, mortify.
- G3500 — νέκρωσις (nékrōsis, nek'-ro-sis): putting to death, lifeless condition — from νεκρόω; decease; figuratively, impotency:--deadness, dying.

- G4102 — πίστις (pístis, pis'-tis): faith, belief, trust — from πείθω; persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself:--assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
- G4225 — πού (poú, poo): somewhere — genitive case of an indefinite pronoun (some) otherwise obsolete (compare πόσος); as adverb of place, somewhere, i.e. nearly:--about, a certain place.
