And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave [him] leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound [weight].

- G142 — αἴρω (aírō, ah'-ee-ro): I raise, lift up — a primary root; to lift up; by implication, to take up or away; figuratively, to raise (the voice), keep in suspense (the mind), specially, to sail away (i.e. weigh anchor); by Hebraism (compare נָשָׂא) to expiate sin:--away with, bear (up), carry, lift up, loose, make to doubt, put away, remove, take (away, up).
- G575 — ἀπό (apó, apo'): from, away from — a primary particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative):--(X here-)after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for(-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-)on(-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc.
- G707 — Ἀριμαθαία (Arimathaía, ar-ee-math-ah'-ee-ah): Arimathea — of Hebrew origin (רָמָה); Arimathæa (or Ramah), a place in Palestine:--Arimathæa.

- G2501 — Ἰωσήφ (Iōsḗph, ee-o-safe'): Joseph — of Hebrew origin (יוֹסֵף); Joseph, the name of seven Israelites:--Joseph.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.

- G3767 — οὖν (oûn, oon): therefore, then — apparently a primary word; (adverbially) certainly, or (conjunctionally) accordingly:--and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, therefore, verily, wherefore.
- G4091 — Πιλᾶτος (Pilâtos, pil-at'-os): Pilate — of Latin origin; close-pressed, i.e. firm; Pilatus, a Roman:--Pilate.
- G4983 — σῶμα (sōma, so'-mah): body, flesh — from σώζω; the body (as a sound whole), used in a very wide application, literally or figuratively:--bodily, body, slave.
