Acts 17:7

Acts 17:6 Acts 17:7 (KJV) Acts 17:8
And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also;
Whom Jason hath received: and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, [one] Jesus.
And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things.

  • G4238 — πράσσω (prássō, pras'-so): I do, fare, require — a primary verb; to "practise", i.e. perform repeatedly or habitually (thus differing from ποιέω, which properly refers to a single act); by implication, to execute, accomplish, etc.; specially, to collect (dues), fare (personally):--commit, deeds, do, exact, keep, require, use arts.
  • G5264 — ὑποδέχομαι (hypodéchomai, hoop-od-ekh'-om-ahee): I receive as a guest — from ὑπό and δέχομαι; to admit under one's roof, i.e. entertain hospitably:--receive.
