And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): he, she, it, they, them, same — from the particle (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ.
- G1125 — γράφω (gráphō, graf'-o): I write — a primary verb; to "grave", especially to write; figuratively, to describe:--describe, write(-ing, -ten).
- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): but, on the other hand, and — a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:--also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).

- G3027 — λῃστής (lēistḗs, lace-tace'): a robber, brigand, bandit — from (to plunder); a brigand:--robber, thief.
- G3450 — μοῦ (moû, moo): the simpler form of ἐμοῦ; of me:--I, me, mine (own), my.
- G3624 — οἶκος (oîkos, oy'-kos): a house, household — of uncertain affinity; a dwelling (more or less extensive, literal or figurative); by implication, a family (more or less related, literally or figuratively):--home, house(-hold), temple.
- G4160 — ποιέω (poiéō, poy-eh'-o): I do, make — apparently a prolonged form of an obsolete primary; to make or do (in a very wide application, more or less direct):--abide, + agree, appoint, X avenge, + band together, be, bear, + bewray, bring (forth), cast out, cause, commit, + content, continue, deal, + without any delay, (would) do(-ing), execute, exercise, fulfil, gain, give, have, hold, X journeying, keep, + lay wait, + lighten the ship, make, X mean, + none of these things move me, observe, ordain, perform, provide, + have purged, purpose, put, + raising up, X secure, shew, X shoot out, spend, take, tarry, + transgress the law, work, yield. - G4335 — προσευχή (proseuchḗ, pros-yoo-khay'): prayer, a place for prayer — from προσεύχομαι; prayer (worship); by implication, an oratory (chapel):--X pray earnestly, prayer.
- G4693 — σπήλαιον (spḗlaion, spay'-lah-yon): a cave, den — neuter of a presumed derivative of (a grotto); a cavern; by implication, a hiding-place or resort:--cave, den.
