And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): he, she, it, they, them, same — from the particle (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. - G1611 — ἔκστασις (ékstasis, ek'-stas-is): bewilderment, amazement — from ἐξίστημι; a displacement of the mind, i.e. bewilderment, "ecstasy":--+ be amazed, amazement, astonishment, trance.

- G1921 — ἐπιγινώσκω (epiginṓskō, ep-ig-in-oce'-ko): I come to know, discern, recognize — from ἐπί and γινώσκω; to know upon some mark, i.e. recognize; by implication, to become fully acquainted with, to acknowledge:--(ac-, have, take)know(-ledge, well), perceive.
- G2258 — ἦν (ēn, ane): imperfect of εἰμί; I (thou, etc.) was (wast or were):--+ agree, be, X have (+ charge of), hold, use, was(-t), were.
- G2285 — θάμβος (thámbos, tham'-bos): astonishment — akin to an obsolete (to dumbfound); stupefaction (by surprise), i.e. astonishment:--X amazed, + astonished, wonder.
- G2411 — ἱερόν (hierón, hee-er-on'): a temple — neuter of ἱερός; a sacred place, i.e. the entire precincts (whereas ναός denotes the central sanctuary itself) of the Temple (at Jerusalem or elsewhere):--temple.
- G2521 — κάθημαι (káthēmai, kath'-ay-mahee): I sit, am seated — from κατά; and (to sit; akin to the base of ἑδραῖος); to sit down; figuratively, to remain, reside:--dwell, sit (by, down).

- G4439 — πύλη (pýlē, poo'-lay): a door, gate — apparently a primary word; a gate, i.e. the leaf or wing of a folding entrance (literally or figuratively):--gate.
- G4819 — συμβαίνω (symbaínō, soom-bah'-ee-no): I happen, occur — from σύν and the base of βάσις; to walk (figuratively, transpire) together, i.e. concur (take place):--be(-fall), happen (unto).
