Romans 15:33 Romans 16:1 (KJV) Romans 16:2
Now the God of peace [be] with you all. Amen.
I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:
That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

Strong's References
  • G79 — ἀδελφή (adelphḗ, ad-el-fay'): a sister — feminine of ἀδελφός; a sister (naturally or ecclesiastically):--sister.
  • G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): but, on the other hand, and — a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:--also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).
  • G1249 — διάκονος (diákonos, dee-ak'-on-os): a waiter, servant, administrator — probably from an obsolete (to run on errands; compare διώκω); an attendant, i.e. (genitive case) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specially, a Christian teacher and pastor (technically, a deacon or deaconess):--deacon, minister, servant.
  • G1577 — ἐκκλησία (ekklēsía, ek-klay-see'-ah): an assembly, congregation, church — from a compound of ἐκ and a derivative of καλέω; a calling out, i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both):--assembly, church.
  • G1722 — ἐν (en, en): in, on, among — a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time or state), and (by implication) instrumentality (medially or constructively), i.e. a relation of rest (intermediate between εἰς and ἐκ); "in," at, (up-)on, by, etc.:--about, after, against, + almost, X altogether, among, X as, at, before, between, (here-)by (+ all means), for (… sake of), + give self wholly to, (here-)in(-to, -wardly), X mightily, (because) of, (up-)on, (open-)ly, X outwardly, one, X quickly, X shortly, (speedi-)ly, X that, X there(-in, -on), through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), under, when, where(-with), while, with(-in). Often used in compounds, with substantially the same import; rarely with verbs of motion, and then not to indicate direction, except (elliptically) by a separate (and different) preposition.
  • G2257 — ἡμῶν (hēmōn, hay-mone'): genitive case plural of ἐγώ; of (or from) us:--our (company), us, we.
  • G2747 — Κεγχρεαί (Kenchreaí, keng-khreh-a'-hee): Cenchreae — probably from kegchros (millet); Cenchreæ, a port of Corinth:--Cencrea.
  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the — the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.
  • G4921 — συνιστάω (synistáō, soon-is-tah'-o): I commend, prove, am composed of, cohere — from σύν and ἵστημι (including its collateral forms); to set together, i.e. (by implication) to introduce (favorably), or (figuratively) to exhibit; intransitively, to stand near, or (figuratively) to constitute:--approve, commend, consist, make, stand (with).
  • G5213 — ὑμῖν (hymîn, hoo-min'): irregular dative case of ὑμεῖς; to (with or by) you:--ye, you, your(-selves).
  • G5402 — Φοίβη (Phoíbē, foy'-bay): Phoebe — feminine of (bright; probably akin to the base of φῶς); Phœbe, a Christian woman:--Phebe.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G5607 — ὤν (ṓn, oan): present participle of εἰμί; being:--be, come, have.
