Galatians 5:20
| ← Galatians 5:19 | Galatians 5:20 (KJV) | Galatians 5:21 → |
|---|---|---|
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
|
Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
|
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

- G2189 — ἔχθρα (échthra, ekh'-thrah): enmity, hostility — feminine of ἐχθρός; hostility; by implication, a reason for opposition:--enmity, hatred.
- G2205 — ζῆλος (zēlos, dzay'-los): eagerness, zeal, rivalry — from ζέω; properly, heat, i.e. (figuratively) "zeal" (in a favorable sense, ardor; in an unfavorable one, jealousy, as of a husband (figuratively, of God), or an enemy, malice):--emulation, envy(-ing), fervent mind, indignation, jealousy, zeal.
- G2372 — θυμός (thymós, thoo-mos'): an outburst of passion, wrath — from θύω; passion (as if breathing hard):--fierceness, indignation, wrath. Compare ψυχή.
- G5331 — φαρμακεία (pharmakeía, far-mak-i'-ah): magic, sorcery, enchantment — from φαρμακεύς; medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively):--sorcery, witchcraft.
