Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

Then said [God], Call his name Loammi: for ye [are] not my people, and I will not be your [God].

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, [that] in the place where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people, [there] it shall be said unto them, [Ye are] the sons of the living God.

- H559 — אָמַר (ʼâmar, aw-mar'): a primitive root; to say (used with great latitude); answer, appoint, avouch, bid, boast self, call, certify, challenge, charge, [phrase] (at the, give) command(-ment), commune, consider, declare, demand, [idiom] desire, determine, [idiom] expressly, [idiom] indeed, [idiom] intend, name, [idiom] plainly, promise, publish, report, require, say, speak (against, of), [idiom] still, [idiom] suppose, talk, tell, term, [idiom] that is, [idiom] think, use (speech), utter, [idiom] verily, [idiom] yet.
- H3818 — לֹא עַמִּי (Lôʼ ʻAmmîy, lo am-mee'): from לֹא and עַם with pronominal suffix; not my people; Lo-Ammi, the symbolic name of a son of Hosea; Lo-ammi.
