Psalms 74:10

Psalms 74:9 Psalms 74:10 (KJV) Psalms 74:11
We see not our signs: [there is] no more any prophet: neither [is there] among us any that knoweth how long.
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck [it] out of thy bosom.

Strong's References
  • H341 — אֹיֵב (ʼôyêb, o-yabe'): or (fully) אוֹיֵב; active participle of אָיַב; hating; an adversary; enemy, foe.
  • H430 — אֱלֹהִים (ʼĕlôhîym, el-o-heem'): plural of אֱלוֹהַּ; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative; angels, [idiom] exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), [idiom] (very) great, judges, [idiom] mighty.
  • H2778 — חָרַף (châraph, khaw-raf'): a primitive root; also denominative (from חֹרֶף); to pull off, i.e. (by implication) to expose (as by stripping); specifically, to betroth (as if a surrender); figuratively, to carp at, i.e. defame; to spend the winter; betroth, blaspheme, defy, jeopard, rail, reproach, upbraid.
  • H5006 — נָאַץ (nâʼats, naw-ats'): a primitive root; in Ecclesiastes 12:5, by interchange for נוּץ, to bloom; to scorn; abhor, (give occasion to) blaspheme, contemn, despise, flourish, [idiom] great, provoke.
  • H5331 — נֶצַח (netsach, neh'-tsakh): or נֵצַח; from נָצַח; properly, a goal, i.e. the bright object at adistance travelled towards; hence (figuratively), splendor, or (subjectively) truthfulness, or (objectively) confidence; but usually (adverbially), continually (i.e. to the most distant point of view); alway(-s), constantly, end, ([phrase] n-) ever(more), perpetual, strength, victory.
  • H6862 — צַר (tsar, tsar): or צָר; from צָרַר; compare as in צֹר; narrow; (as a noun) a tight place (usually figuratively, i.e. trouble); also a pebble ; (transitive) an opponent (as crowding); adversary, afflicted(-tion), anguish, close, distress, enemy, flint, foe, narrow, small, sorrow, strait, tribulation, trouble.
  • H8034 — שֵׁם (shêm, shame): a primitive word (perhaps rather from through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare שָׁמַיִם); an appellation, as amark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character; [phrase] base, (in-) fame(-ous), named(-d), renown, report.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H4970 — מָתַי (mâthay, maw-thah'ee): from an unused root meaning to extend; properly, extent (of time); but used only adverbially (especially with other particle prefixes), when (either relative or interrogative); long, when.
  • H5704 — עַד (ʻad, ad): properly, the same as עַד (used as a preposition, adverb or conjunction; especially with a preposition); as far (or long, or much) as, whether of space (even unto) or time (during, while, until) or degree (equally with); against, and, as, at, before, by (that), even (to), for(-asmuch as), (hither-) to, [phrase] how long, into, as long (much) as, (so) that, till, toward, until, when, while, ([phrase] as) yet.
