Strong's References[edit | edit source]

  • H168 — אֹהֶל (ʼôhel, o'-hel): from אָהַל; a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance); covering, (dwelling) (place), home, tabernacle, tent.
  • H430 — אֱלֹהִים (ʼĕlôhîym, el-o-heem'): plural of אֱלוֹהַּ; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative; angels, [idiom] exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), [idiom] (very) great, judges, [idiom] mighty.
  • H3315 — יֶפֶת (Yepheth, yeh'-feth): from פָּתָה; expansion; Jepheth, a son of Noah; also his posterity; Japheth.
  • H3667 — כְּנַעַן (Kᵉnaʻan, ken-ah'-an): from כָּנַע; humiliated; Kenaan, a son a Ham; also the country inhabited by him; Canaan, merchant, traffick.
  • H5650 — עֶבֶד (ʻebed, eh'-bed): from עָבַד; a servant; [idiom] bondage, bondman, (bond-) servant, (man-) servant.
  • H6601 — פָּתָה (pâthâh, paw-thaw'): a primitive root; to open, i.e. be (causatively, make) roomy; usually figuratively (in a mental or moral sense) to be (causatively, make) simple or (in a sinister way) delude; allure, deceive, enlarge, entice, flatter, persuade, silly (one).
  • H7931 — שָׁכַן (shâkan, shaw-kan'): a primitive root (apparently akin (by transmission) to שָׁכַב through the idea of lodging; compare סִכְלוּת, שָׁכַם); to reside or permanently stay (literally or figuratively); abide, continue, (cause to, make to) dwell(-er), have habitation, inhabit, lay, place, (cause to) remain, rest, set (up).
  • H8035 — שֵׁם (Shêm, shame): the same as שֵׁם; name; Shem, a son of Noah (often includ. his posterity); Sem, Shem.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • H1961 — הָיָה (hâyâh, haw-yaw): a primitive root (compare הָוָא); to exist, i.e. be or become, come to pass (always emphatic, and not a mere copula or auxiliary); beacon, [idiom] altogether, be(-come), accomplished, committed, like), break, cause, come (to pass), do, faint, fall, [phrase] follow, happen, [idiom] have, last, pertain, quit (one-) self, require, [idiom] use.
