Ephesians 2:19

Ephesians 2:18 Ephesians 2:19 (KJV) Ephesians 2:20
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone];

Strong's References
  • G40 — ἅγιος (hágios, hag'-ee-os): set apart, holy, sacred — from (an awful thing) (compare ἁγνός, θάλπω); sacred (physically, pure, morally blameless or religious, ceremonially, consecrated):--(most) holy (one, thing), saint.
  • G235 — ἀλλά (allá, al-lah'): but, except — neuter plural of ἄλλος; properly, other things, i.e. (adverbially) contrariwise (in many relations):--and, but (even), howbeit, indeed, nay, nevertheless, no, notwithstanding, save, therefore, yea, yet.
  • G686 — ἄρα (ára, ar'-ah): then, therefore, since — probably from αἴρω (through the idea of drawing a conclusion); a particle denoting an inference more or less decisive (as follows):--haply, (what) manner (of man), no doubt, perhaps, so be, then, therefore, truly, wherefore. Often used in connection with other particles, especially γέ or οὖν (after) or εἰ (before). Compare also ἆρα.
  • G2075 — ἐστέ (esté, es-teh'): second person plural present indicative of εἰμί; ye are:--be, have been, belong.
  • G2316 — θεός (theós, theh'-os): God, a god — of uncertain affinity; a deity, especially (with ὁ) the supreme Divinity; figuratively, a magistrate; by Hebraism, very:--X exceeding, God, god(-ly, -ward).
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
  • G3581 — ξένος (xénos, xen'-os): new, novel, a foreigner — apparently a primary word; foreign (literally, alien, or figuratively, novel); by implication, a guest or (vice-versa) entertainer:--host, strange(-r).
  • G3609 — οἰκεῖος (oikeîos, oy-ki'-os): of one's family, domestic — from οἶκος; domestic, i.e. (as noun), a relative, adherent:--(those) of the (his own) house(-hold).
  • G3765 — οὐκέτι (oukéti, ook-et'-ee): no longer, no more — from οὐ and ἔτι; not yet, no longer:--after that (not), (not) any more, henceforth (hereafter) not, no longer (more), not as yet (now), now no more (not), yet (not).
  • G3767 — οὖν (oûn, oon): therefore, then — apparently a primary word; (adverbially) certainly, or (conjunctionally) accordingly:--and (so, truly), but, now (then), so (likewise then), then, therefore, verily, wherefore.
  • G3941 — πάροικος (pároikos, par'-oy-kos): a stranger, foreigner — from παρά and οἶκος; having a home near, i.e. (as noun) a by-dweller (alien resident):--foreigner, sojourn, stranger.
  • G4847 — συμπολίτης (sympolítēs, soom-pol-ee'-tace): a fellow citizen — from σύν and πολίτης; a native of the same town, i.e. (figuratively) co-religionist (fellow-Christian):--fellow- citizen.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the — the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.
