For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

- G1063 — γάρ (gár, gar): for — a primary particle; properly, assigning a reason (used in argument, explanation or intensification; often with other particles):--and, as, because (that), but, even, for, indeed, no doubt, seeing, then, therefore, verily, what, why, yet.
- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): but, on the other hand, and — a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:--also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).
- G1484 — ἔθνος (éthnos, eth'-nos): a race, people, the Gentiles — probably from ἔθω; a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually, by implication, pagan):--Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
- G1492 — εἴδω (eídō, i'-do): I know, remember — a primary verb; used only in certain past tenses, the others being borrowed from the equivalent ὀπτάνομαι and ὁράω; properly, to see (literally or figuratively); by implication, (in the perfect tense only) to know:--be aware, behold, X can (+ not tell), consider, (have) know(-ledge), look (on), perceive, see, be sure, tell, understand, wish, wot. - G1934 — ἐπιζητέω (epizētéō, ep-eed-zay-teh'-o): I seek after, desire, search for — from ἐπί and ζητέω; to search (inquire) for; intensively, to demand, to crave:--desire, enquire, seek (after, for).
- G2889 — κόσμος (kósmos, kos'-mos): the world, universe — probably from the base of κομίζω; orderly arrangement, i.e. decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively (morally)):--adorning, world.
- G3754 — ὅτι (hóti, hot'-ee): that, since, because — neuter of ὅστις as conjunction; demonstrative, that (sometimes redundant); causative, because:--as concerning that, as though, because (that), for (that), how (that), (in) that, though, why.

- G3962 — πατήρ (patḗr, pat-ayr'): father, Father, ancestor — apparently a primary word; a "father" (literally or figuratively, near or more remote):--father, parent.
