Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

διὰ τοῦτο ἔπεμψα ὑμῖν Τιμόθεον, ὅς ἐστί τέκνον μου ἀγαπητὸν καὶ πιστὸν ἐν Κυρίῳ, ὃς ὑμᾶς ἀναμνήσει τὰς ὁδούς μου τὰς ἐν Χριστῷ, καθὼς πανταχοῦ ἐν πάσῃ ἐκκλησίᾳ διδάσκω.

- G27 — ἀγαπητός (agapētós, ag-ap-ay-tos'): loved, beloved — from ἀγαπάω; beloved:--(dearly, well) beloved, dear.
- G363 — ἀναμιμνήσκω (anamimnḗskō, an-am-im-nace'-ko): I remind, admonish, remember — from ἀνά and μιμνήσκω; to remind; (reflexively) to recollect:--call to mind, (bring to , call to, put in), remember(-brance).

- G2076 — ἐστί (estí, es-tee'): third person singular present indicative of εἰμί; he (she or it) is; also (with neuter plural) they are:--are, be(-long), call, X can(-not), come, consisteth, X dure for a while, + follow, X have, (that) is (to say), make, meaneth, X must needs, + profit, + remaineth, + wrestle.
- G2531 — καθώς (kathṓs, kath-oce'): just as, as — from κατά and ὡς; just (or inasmuch) as, that:--according to, (according, even) as, how, when.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.

- G4103 — πιστός (pistós, pis-tos'): trustworthy, faithful, believing — from πείθω; objectively, trustworthy; subjectively, trustful:--believe(-ing, -r), faithful(-ly), sure, true.
- G5043 — τέκνον (téknon, tek'-non): a child, descendent, inhabitant — from the base of τίκτω; a child (as produced):--child, daughter, son.
- G5095 — Τιμόθεος (Timótheos, tee-moth'-eh-os): Timothy — from τιμή and θεός; dear to God; Timotheus, a Christian:--Timotheus, Timothy.
