|---|---|---|
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
|
Even as I please all [men] in all [things], not seeking mine own profit, but the [profit] of many, that they may be saved.
|
Be ye followers of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.

Compare πυνθάνομαι.

- G2504 — κἀγώ (kagṓ, kag-o'): I also, I too — from καί and ἐγώ; so also the dative case , and accusative case and (or also, even, etc.) I, (to) me:--(and, even, even so, so) I (also, in like wise), both me, me also.
- G2531 — καθώς (kathṓs, kath-oce'): just as, as — from κατά and ὡς; just (or inasmuch) as, that:--according to, (according, even) as, how, when.
- G3361 — μή (mḗ, may): not, lest — a primary particle of qualified negation (whereas οὐ expresses an absolute denial); (adverb) not, (conjunction) lest; also (as an interrogative implying a negative answer (whereas οὐ expects an affirmative one)) whether:--any but (that), X forbear, + God forbid, + lack, lest, neither, never, no (X wise in), none, nor, (can-)not, nothing, that not, un(-taken), without. Often used in compounds in substantially the same relations. See also ἐὰν μή, ἵνα μή, οὐ μή, μῆκος, μηκύνω, μήν, μὴ οὐκ.
- G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the — the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.
- G3956 — πᾶς (pâs, pas): all, the whole, every kind of — including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole:--all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.
- G4183 — πολύς (polýs, pol-oos'): much, many, often — including the forms from the alternate ; (singular) much (in any respect) or (plural) many; neuter (singular) as adverbial, largely; neuter (plural) as adverb or noun often, mostly, largely:--abundant, + altogether, common, + far (passed, spent), (+ be of a) great (age, deal, -ly, while), long, many, much, oft(-en (-times)), plenteous, sore, straitly. Compare πλεῖστος, πλείων.
- G4851 — συμφέρω (symphérō, soom-fer'-o): I collect, am profitable to — from σύν and φέρω (including its alternate); to bear together (contribute), i.e. (literally) to collect, or (figuratively) to conduce; especially (neuter participle as a noun) advantage:--be better for, bring together, be expedient (for), be good, (be) profit(-able for).
- G4982 — σώζω (sṓzō, sode'-zo): I save, heal — from a primary (contraction for obsolete , "safe"); to save, i.e. deliver or protect (literally or figuratively):--heal, preserve, save (self), do well, be (make) whole.
