But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

Strong's References
  • G756 — ἄρχομαι (árchomai, ar'-khom-ahee): I begin — middle voice of ἄρχω (through the implication, of precedence); to commence (in order of time):--(rehearse from the) begin(-ning).
  • G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): but, on the other hand, and — a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:--also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).
  • G2068 — ἐσθίω (esthíō, es-thee'-o): I eat — strengthened for a primary (to eat); used only in certain tenses, the rest being supplied by φάγω; to eat (usually literal):--devour, eat, live.
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
  • G3184 — μεθύω (methýō, meth-oo'-o): I am drunk — from another form of μέθη; to drink to intoxication, i.e. get drunk:--drink well, make (be) drunk(-en).
  • G3326 — μετά (metá, met-ah'): with, after — a primary preposition (often used adverbially); properly, denoting accompaniment; "amid" (local or causal); modified variously according to the case (genitive association, or accusative succession) with which it is joined; occupying an intermediate position between ἀπό or ἐκ and εἰς or πρός; less intimate than ἐν and less close than σύν):--after(-ward), X that he again, against, among, X and, + follow, hence, hereafter, in, of, (up-)on, + our, X and setting, since, (un-)to, + together, when, with (+ -out). Often used in composition, in substantially the same relations of participation or proximity, and transfer or sequence.
  • G4095 — πίνω (pínō, pee'-no): I drink, imbibe — a prolonged form of  ; which (together with another form)  ; occurs only as an alternate in certain tenses; to imbibe (literally or figuratively):--drink.
  • G4889 — σύνδουλος (sýndoulos, soon'-doo-los): a fellow servant, colleague — from σύν and δοῦλος; a co-slave, i.e. servitor or ministrant of the same master (human or divine):--fellowservant.
  • G5180 — τύπτω (týptō, toop'-to): I beat, strike, wound, inflict punishment — a primary verb (in a strengthened form); to "thump", i.e. cudgel or pummel (properly, with a stick or bastinado), but in any case by repeated blows; thus differing from παίω and πατάσσω, which denote a (usually single) blow with the hand or any instrument, or πλήσσω with the fist (or a hammer), or ῥαπίζω with the palm; as well as from τυγχάνω, an accidental collision); by implication, to punish; figuratively, to offend (the conscience):--beat, smite, strike, wound.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the — the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.
