Matthew 25:32
| ← Matthew 25:31 [words of Jesus] | Matthew 25:32 (KJV) [words of Jesus] | Matthew 25:33 [words of Jesus] → |
|---|---|---|
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
|
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth [his] sheep from the goats:
|
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

- G240 — ἀλλήλων (allḗlōn, al-lay'-lone): one another — Genitive plural from ἄλλος reduplicated; one another:--each other, mutual, one another, (the other), (them-, your-)selves, (selves) together (sometimes with μετά or πρός).
- G575 — ἀπό (apó, apo'): from, away from — a primary particle; "off," i.e. away (from something near), in various senses (of place, time, or relation; literal or figurative):--(X here-)after, ago, at, because of, before, by (the space of), for(-th), from, in, (out) of, off, (up-)on(-ce), since, with. In composition (as a prefix) it usually denotes separation, departure, cessation, completion, reversal, etc.
- G846 — αὐτός (autós, ow-tos'): he, she, it, they, them, same — from the particle (perhaps akin to the base of ἀήρ through the idea of a baffling wind) (backward); the reflexive pronoun self, used (alone or in the comparative ἑαυτοῦ) of the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Compare αὑτοῦ.
- G873 — ἀφορίζω (aphorízō, af-or-id'-zo): I rail off, separate, place apart — from ἀπό and ὁρίζω; to set off by boundary, i.e. (figuratively) limit, exclude, appoint, etc.:--divide, separate, sever.
- G1484 — ἔθνος (éthnos, eth'-nos): a race, people, the Gentiles — probably from ἔθω; a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe; specially, a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually, by implication, pagan):--Gentile, heathen, nation, people.
- G1715 — ἔμπροσθεν (émprosthen, em'-pros-then): in front, before the face — from ἐν and πρός; in front of (in place (literally or figuratively) or time):--against, at, before, (in presence, sight) of.
- G2056 — ἔριφος (ériphos, er'-if-os): a goat — perhaps from the same as ἔριον (through the idea of hairiness); a kid or (genitive case) goat:--goat, kid.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
- G3956 — πᾶς (pâs, pas): all, the whole, every kind of — including all the forms of declension; apparently a primary word; all, any, every, the whole:--all (manner of, means), alway(-s), any (one), X daily, + ever, every (one, way), as many as, + no(-thing), X thoroughly, whatsoever, whole, whosoever.
- G4166 — ποιμήν (poimḗn, poy-mane'): a shepherd — of uncertain affinity; a shepherd (literally or figuratively):--shepherd, pastor.
- G4263 — πρόβατον (próbaton, prob'-at-on): a sheep — probably neuter of a presumed derivative of προβαίνω; something that walks forward (a quadruped), i.e. (specially), a sheep (literally or figuratively):--sheep(-fold).
- G4863 — συνάγω (synágō, soon-ag'-o): I gather together — from σύν and ἄγω; to lead together, i.e. collect or convene; specially, to entertain (hospitably):--+ accompany, assemble (selves, together), bestow, come together, gather (selves together, up, together), lead into, resort, take in.
