Hebrews 13:12

Hebrews 13:11 Hebrews 13:12 (KJV) Hebrews 13:13
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

Strong's References
  • G37 — ἁγιάζω (hagiázō, hag-ee-ad'-zo): I make holy, sanctify — from ἅγιος; to make holy, i.e. (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate:--hallow, be holy, sanctify.
  • G129 — αἷμα (haîma, hah'-ee-mah): blood — of uncertain derivation; blood, literally (of men or animals), figuratively (the juice of grapes) or specially (the atoning blood of Christ); by implication, bloodshed, also kindred:--blood.
  • G1223 — διά (diá, dee-ah'): through, on account of — a primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal, or occasional):--after, always, among, at, to avoid, because of (that), briefly, by, for (cause) … fore, from, in, by occasion of, of, by reason of, for sake, that, thereby, therefore, X though, through(-out), to, wherefore, with (-in). In composition it retains the same general importance.
  • G1352 — διό (dió, dee-o'): wherefore — from διά and ὅς; through which thing, i.e. consequently:--for which cause, therefore, wherefore.
  • G1854 — ἔξω (éxō, ex'-o): without, outside — adverb from ἐκ; out(-side, of doors), literally or figuratively:--away, forth, (with-)out (of, -ward), strange.
  • G2398 — ἴδιος (ídios, id'-ee-os): one's own, private, personal — of uncertain affinity; pertaining to self, i.e. one's own; by implication, private or separate:--X his acquaintance, when they were alone, apart, aside, due, his (own, proper, several), home, (her, our, thine, your) own (business), private(-ly), proper, severally, their (own).
  • G2424 — Ἰησοῦς (Iēsoûs, ee-ay-sooce'): Jesus — of Hebrew origin (יְהוֹשׁוּעַ); Jesus (i.e. Jehoshua), the name of our Lord and two (three) other Israelites:--Jesus.
  • G2443 — ἵνα (hína, hin'-ah): in order that, so that — probably from the same as the former part of ἑαυτοῦ (through the demonstrative idea; compare ὁ); in order that (denoting the purpose or the result):--albeit, because, to the intent (that), lest, so as, (so) that, (for) to. Compare ἵνα μή.
  • G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.
  • G2992 — λαός (laós, lah-os'): a people, the crowd — apparently a primary word; a people (in general; thus differing from δῆμος, which denotes one's own populace):--people.
  • G3958 — πάσχω (páschō, pas'-kho): I am acted upon, suffer — apparently a primary verb; to experience a sensation or impression (usually painful):--feel, passion, suffer, vex.
  • G4439 — πύλη (pýlē, poo'-lay): a door, gate — apparently a primary word; a gate, i.e. the leaf or wing of a folding entrance (literally or figuratively):--gate.

The following Strong's numbers are referenced in the Greek (Textus Receptus, Scrivener 1894) text but were not explicitly tagged in the KJV source:

  • G3588 — ὁ (ho, ho): the — the definite article; the (sometimes to be supplied, at others omitted, in English idiom):--the, this, that, one, he, she, it, etc.
