Philippians 3:18

|---|---|---|
Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.
|
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ:
|
Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

- G2799 — κλαίω (klaíō, klah'-yo): I weep, weep for, mourn — of uncertain affinity; to sob, i.e. wail aloud (whereas 1145 is rather to cry silently):--bewail, weep.
- G3004 — λέγω (légō, leg'-o): I say, speak — a primary verb; properly, to "lay" forth, i.e. (figuratively) relate (in words (usually of systematic or set discourse; whereas ἔπω and φημί generally refer to an individual expression or speech respectively; while ῥέω is properly to break silence merely, and λαλέω means an extended or random harangue)); by implication, to mean:--ask, bid, boast, call, describe, give out, name, put forth, say(-ing, on), shew, speak, tell, utter.
- G3568 — νῦν (nŷn, noon): now, already, at present — a primary particle of present time; "now" (as adverb of date, a transition or emphasis); also as noun or adjective present or immediate:--henceforth, + hereafter, of late, soon, present, this (time). See also τανῦν, νυνί.

- G4043 — περιπατέω (peripatéō, per-ee-pat-eh'-o): I walk, conduct my life — from περί and πατέω; to tread all around, i.e. walk at large (especially as proof of ability); figuratively, to live, deport oneself, follow (as a companion or votary):--go, be occupied with, walk (about).
- G4178 — πολλάκις (pollákis, pol-lak'-is): many times, often — multiplicative adverb from πολύς; many times, i.e. frequently:--oft(-en, -entimes, -times).

Compare πλεῖστος, πλείων.
- G4716 — σταυρός (staurós, stow-ros'): a cross — from the base of ἵστημι; a stake or post (as set upright), i.e. (specially), a pole or cross (as an instrument of capital punishment); figuratively, exposure to death, i.e. self-denial; by implication, the atonement of Christ:--cross.
- G5213 — ὑμῖν (hymîn, hoo-min'): irregular dative case of ὑμεῖς; to (with or by) you:--ye, you, your(-selves).
- G5547 — Χριστός (Christós, khris-tos'): anointed, the Messiah, the Christ — from χρίω; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus:--Christ.
