- G444 — ἄνθρωπος (ánthrōpos, anth'-ro-pos): a man, one of the human race — from ἀνήρ and (the countenance; from ὀπτάνομαι); man-faced, i.e. a human being:--certain, man.
- G1040 — βύσσος (býssos, boos'-sos): fine linen, cotton — of Hebrew origin (בּוּץ); white linen:--fine linen.
- G1161 — δέ (dé, deh): but, on the other hand, and — a primary particle (adversative or continuative); but, and, etc.:--also, and, but, moreover, now (often unexpressed in English).
- G1737 — ἐνδιδύσκω (endidýskō, en-did-oos'-ko): I put on, clothe — a prolonged form of ἐνδύω; to invest (with a garment):--clothe in, wear.
- G2165 — εὐφραίνω (euphraínō, yoo-frah'-ee-no): I cheer, am glad, make merry — from εὖ and φρήν; to put (middle voice or passively, be) in a good frame of mind, i.e. rejoice:--fare, make glad, be (make) merry, rejoice.
- G2250 — ἡμέρα (hēméra, hay-mer'-ah): a day — feminine (with ὥρα implied) of a derivative of (to sit; akin to the base of ἑδραῖος) meaning tame, i.e. gentle; day, i.e. (literally) the time space between dawn and dark, or the whole 24 hours (but several days were usually reckoned by the Jews as inclusive of the parts of both extremes); figuratively, a period (always defined more or less clearly by the context):--age, + alway, (mid-)day (by day, (-ly)), + for ever, judgment, (day) time, while, years.
- G2258 — ἦν (ēn, ane): imperfect of εἰμί; I (thou, etc.) was (wast or were):--+ agree, be, X have (+ charge of), hold, use, was(-t), were.
- G2532 — καί (kaí, kahee): and, even, also, namely — apparently, a primary particle, having a copulative and sometimes also a cumulative force; and, also, even, so then, too, etc.; often used in connection (or composition) with other particles or small words:--and, also, both, but, even, for, if, or, so, that, then, therefore, when, yet.

In composition it retains many of these applications, and frequently denotes opposition, distribution, or intensity.
- G2988 — λαμπρῶς (lamprōs, lam-proce'): magnificently, sumptuously — adverb from λαμπρός; brilliantly, i.e. figuratively, luxuriously:--sumptuously.
- G4145 — πλούσιος (ploúsios, ploo'-see-os): rich — from πλοῦτος; wealthy; figuratively, abounding with:--rich.
- G4209 — πορφύρα (porphýra, por-foo'-rah): a purple garment — of Latin origin; the "purple" mussel, i.e. (by implication) the red-blue color itself, and finally a garment dyed with it:--purple.
