And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

But the word of God grew and multiplied.

παραχρῆμα δὲ ἐπάταξεν αὐτὸν ἄγγελος Κυρίου, ἀνθ’ ὧν οὐκ ἔδωκε τὴν δόξαν τῷ Θεῷ· καὶ γενόμενος σκωληκόβρωτος, ἐξέψυξεν.

- G32 — ἄγγελος (ángelos, ang'-el-os): an angel, messenger — from (probably derived from ἄγω; compare ἀγέλη) (to bring tidings); a messenger; especially an "angel"; by implication, a pastor:--angel, messenger.

- G1634 — ἐκψύχω (ekpsýchō, ek-psoo'-kho): I breathe my last, die, expire — from ἐκ and ψύχω; to expire:--give (yield) up the ghost.
