And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

- G1138 — Δαβίδ (Dabíd, dab-eed'): David — of Hebrew origin (דָּוִד); Dabid (i.e. David), the Israelite king:--David.

- G5088 — τίκτω (tíktō, tik'-to): I bear, bring forth, produce — a strengthened form of a primary (which is used only as alternate in certain tenses); to produce (from seed, as a mother, a plant, the earth, etc.), literally or figuratively:--bear, be born, bring forth, be delivered, be in travail.
