Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, [as] silver and gold, from your vain conversation [received] by tradition from your fathers;

- G391 — ἀναστροφή (anastrophḗ, an-as-trof-ay'): behavior, manner of life — from ἀναστρέφω; behavior:--conversation.
- G694 — ἀργύριον (argýrion, ar-goo'-ree-on): silver, a shekel, money in general — neuter of a presumed derivative of ἄργυρος; silvery, i.e. (by implication) cash; specially, a silverling (i.e. drachma or shekel):--money, (piece of) silver (piece).
